Sunday Announcements – October 23, 2022

We thank you for your generous contributions today in our two collections. Your gifts for the World Mission Sunday will be forwarded to the Pontifical Mission Societies, under the direction of the Holy Father, to support the work of missionaries worldwide.

56 members of our parish participated in the Diocesan Pilgrimage to the National Basilica of the Immaculate Conception in Washington, DC on October 22. The group was led by our pastor Msgr. Cuong Pham, Father Ed Brady and Father Hung Tran. It was a wonderful event that brought several thousand people together, including our bishops, priests, religious, seminarians and young vocation discerners from our own parish. Special prayers were offered for your intentions and for your families.

The creation of two beautiful shrines to Our Lady of Mount Carmel and Our Lady of Guadalupe in the church vestibule has been completed. We will soon add new votive candles to the shrines for your devotional use. We invite you to consider making a special donation towards the cost of these beautiful shrines. Please indicate clearly your intention when dropping your donation at the church or at the parish office. Your gift will be a sign of love to our Blessed Mother, and will increase devotion to her in our parish.

Next Saturday, October 29, there will be a special celebration in anticipation of All Saints Day, for all boys and girls of our parish. The event will include a Holy Hour of Eucharistic Adoration at 1PM in the lower church on the theme of “What It Takes To Be A Saint Today”. We strongly encourage all children to come dressed in the costumes of their favorite Saints, which they can either buy online or use their imagination to create on their own. Following the Holy Hour, all are invited to attend a pizza party in the Institute. We will have games and special prizes for participants. Please note that this is NOT a Halloween Party, but an All-Saints Costume Celebration. Parents are invited to join us.
