Today, the Knights of Columbus are conducting a Winter Sweaters Drive at our parish. If you have unused sweaters or sweatshirts in new or excellent condition, you can help someone in need to stay warm this winter. Please bring them to the vestibule of the upper church or leave them in the greenhouse.
The Lector’s Workbook for the new Liturgical Year, beginning with Advent, are now available in the upper Sacristy for Lectors to pick up. Please sign in when you pick up a copy. The workbooks are for those who proclaim at Sunday Mass only.
Next Saturday, November 19, is the Feast of St. Diego de Acala, also known as St. Didacus of Acala, a lay Franciscan missionary renowned for holiness and extraordinary gift of healing. There will be a Solemn Mass in Spanish, with procession at 6:30pm in the upper church, followed by refreshments in the Gym.
Next Sunday, November 20, the Cursillo Movement will hold a Food Sale after the 12:30pm Spanish Mass in the Institute. Please stop by to enjoy hot, delicious delicacies from our Latino cuisines. Proceeds from the event will go to the support of the Shrines to Our Blessed Mother in our church vestibule.
On Saturday, December 3, the Rosary Society will hold their First Annual Christmas Fundraiser Luncheon for charitable causes this Christmas season from 2:00PM-5:00PM in the Institute. The cost is $40 per person and will include a Hot Buffet Lunch featuring wine and beer. We will raffle assorted gift baskets, and there will also be a 50/50. Payments in cash or check payable to Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church will be accepted at the parish office. All are invited. Bring a friend!
