- We would like to say a big THANK YOU to all of you who have made a pledge to the Annual Catholic Appeal so far. Your goodness will make a big impact on the life and mission of the Church in our diocese. No donation is ever too small. We are happy to report that, even before this weekend’s in-pew commitment, 90 of our parishioners have already pledged a total of $31,736 of which $21,491 have already been sent in. By this concrete gesture of discipleship, you are showing the merciful face of Christ, the Good Shepherd, to his flock. We will keep you informed of the result of this weekend’s commitments.
- This Saturday, May 7, 31 boys and girls of our parish have received their First Holy Communion and participated in the May Crowing Ceremony in honor of Our Lady. We congratulate these children and their families, who are grateful to the catechists who have helped them in their Christian formation. May our new Communicants continue to grow in their love for the Eucharist through faithful reception at the Holy Mass throughout their lives.
- Today, Good Shepherd Sunday as we speak, 14 young men of our parish are attending the Jeremiah Project Vocation Retreat at the Seminary with Bishop Brennan. Their mothers have also been invited to Sunday Mass and Brunch with a special Mother’s Day Blessing by our Bishop, as a way to encourage families to foster a culture of Vocation, through which the Lord will continue to bless the Church with holy and good shepherds in the future.
- As we have noted, on this Mother’s Day, the Mass intention has been offered for all Mothers of our parish, living and deceased. If you have written the names of the mothers you wish to be remembered on the offering envelopes, be assured that they will be prayed for at every Mass during the rest of the month of May.
- Finally, we wish to remind you that the Holy Rosary is recited following all our weekday Masses in the lower church. During this month dedicated to the Blessed Mother, we invite you to pray the Rosary at home, while on your way to work, and in church whenever you can. May you experience the power of this prayer, which is most pleasing to the Blessed Virgin, and can bring complete healing to our body and soul.

- Nos gustaría dar las GRACIAS a todos los que se comprometieron hoy a la Campaña Católica Anual. Su bondad tendrá un gran impacto en la vida y misión de la Iglesia en nuestra diócesis. Ninguna donación es demasiado pequeña. Nos complace informar que, incluso antes de este compromiso en las bancas, 90 de nuestros feligreses ya han prometido un total de $31,736, de los cuales ya se han enviado $21,491. Con este gesto concreto de discipulado, está mostrando el rostro misericordioso de Cristo, el Buen Pastor, a su rebaño. Los mantendremos informados de lo resultados de los compromisos de hoy.
- Este sabado, 7 de mayo, 31 niños y niñas de nuestra parroquia han recibido la Primera Comunión y han participado en la Ceremonia de la Coronación de Mayo en honor a la Virgen. Felicitamos a estos niños y sus familias, quienes agradecen a los catequistas que les han ayudado en su formación cristiana. Que nuestros nuevos Comulgantes continúen creciendo en su amor por la Eucaristía a través de la recepción fiel en la Santa Misa a lo largo de sus vidas.
- Hoy, Domingo del Buen Pastor mientras hablamos, 14 jóvenes de nuestra parroquia asisten al Retiro Vocacional del Proyecto Jeremías en el Seminario con el Obispo Brennan. Sus madres también han sido invitadas a la Santa misa dominical y a un desayuno tardio con una bendición especial del Día de las Madres por parte de nuestro obispo, como una forma de alentar a las familias a fomentar una cultura de vocación, a través de la cual el Señor continuará bendiciendo a la Iglesia con pastores santos y buenos en el futuro.
- Como hemos señalado, en este Día de las Madres, se ha ofrecido la Santa Misa de intención por todas las Madres de nuestra parroquia, vivas y fallecidas. Si han escrito los nombres de las madres que desea que sean recordadas en los sobres de ofrenda, tenga la seguridad de que se rezará por ellas en todas las Santa Misas durante el resto del mes de mayo.
- Finalmente, deseamos recordarles que el Santo Rosario se reza después de todas nuestras Santa Misas entre semana en la iglesia de abajo. Durante este mes dedicado a nuestra Santísima Madre, los invitamos a rezar el Rosario en sus casas, caminando al trabajo y en la iglesia siempre que puedan. Que puedan experimentar el poder de esta oración, que es muy agradable a la Santísima Virgen, y puede traer la curación completa de nuestro cuerpo y alma.
