Sunday Announcements – May 29, 2022

  • ï We are grateful to those who made a pledge to the Annual Catholic Appeal. Your donation will go a long way in supporting the life and mission of the Church in our diocese.  We are happy to report that, to date, 122 parishioners have already pledged a total of $40,841 of which $31,078 have already been sent in. For such a large community as our parish, this number of actual donors is rather modest.  We strongly encourage everyone to join us in this endeavor. Envelopes are still available at the doors of our church for your use.
  • ï  Registration is now open for our Religious Education Program for next year, with classes starting in September. Please remember that all children who have not received Confirmation are required to participate in the program in order to ensure their spiritual growth and receptions of the Sacraments.  Please contact our parish office to register your child.
  • ïThis Monday, May 30th is Memorial Day. There will be only ONE Mass in the Upper Church at 9AM. At the conclusion of the Rosary after Mass, the Church will be closed until Tuesday morning at 7 AM in the lower church. In observance of the federal holiday, our parish office will also be closed until Tuesday.
  • ïThe monthly Mass for the Rosary Society for June will be at 9:30AM next Sunday. There will be prayer of the Rosary, fellowship and refreshments following the Mass in the Parish Institute. All women of all ages are invited.
  • ïNext Sunday, June 5th, our parish will host the First Mass of Thanksgiving for our newly ordained priest Father Vincent Vu, a member of our Vietnamese community who will be ordained by Bishop Brennan on Saturday for the Diocese of Brooklyn. You are cordially invited to attend the Solemn Mass at 3PM in English and Vietnamese, and receive an Apostolic Blessing with Plenary Indulgence. After the Mass, you are also invited to attend the Formal Reception in the Gym, featuring international food, Mariachi music and cultural performances.  Please show our parish’s hospitality to the large number of guests, including our bishops, priests, religious and lay faithful who will come for this joyful occasion.
  • ïThank you and have a blessed week!
