Sunday Announcements – June 5, 2022

We are happy to report that, to date, 130 parishioners have pledged a total of $43,861 to the Annual Catholic Appeal, of which $34,148 have already been sent in. We are very grateful to those who have made a donation.  For a large community such as our parish, however, the current number of actual donors is rather modest. We strongly encourage everyone to consider joining us in this endeavor. Envelopes are still available at the doors of our church for your convenience.

Registration is now open for our Religious Education Program for next year, with classes starting in September. Please remember that all children who have not received Confirmation are required to participate in the program in order to ensure their spiritual growth and receptions of the Sacraments.  Please contact our parish office to register your child.

Today, June 5th, at 3PM, our parish will host the First Mass of Thanksgiving for our newly ordained priest Father Vincent Vu, a member of our Vietnamese community who was ordained yesterday by Bishop Brennan for our Diocese. You are cordially invited to attend the Solemn Mass at 3PM and receive an Apostolic Blessing. After the Mass, you are also invited to attend the Formal Reception in the Gym, featuring international food, Mariachi music and cultural performances.  Please show our parish’s hospitality to the large number of guests who will come for this joyful occasion.

The month of June is dedicated to the Sacred Heart of Jesus. Of all Catholic devotions, devotion to the Sacred Heart is one of the most widespread and popular in the Church. We invite you to cultivate the habit of praying to the Sacred Heart each day, so as to experience Christ’s infinite love and be motivated to respond to that love through greater gratitude and apostolic commitment.

Thank you and have a blessed week!
