Sunday Announcements – August 21, 2022

We thank you for your generous support of Father PJ’s Mission in the Second Collection today.  Your kind gift will help the poor children and youth in Father PJ’s school in Nigeria achieve their dream of a good education and a bright future. Please view the pictures on display at our church entrances to know more about this mission.

The deadline to register children for our Religious Education Program this fall is quickly approaching. All children who have not made their sacraments must receive religious instruction.  Please contact our parish office to register your child as soon as possible.

If you are an adult who enjoys working with children and teaching them about our faith, becoming a catechist in our Religious Education Program may bring you special joy and satisfaction.  We are looking for committed catechists who can teach older children prepare for First Communion on Wednesdays from 4:30PM to 6:00PM. Training for this rewarding ministry will be available. Please contact the Religious Education Coordinator at our parish office.

We are also in great need of faithful men, women, and youth to serve as ushers at the English Sunday Masses. As the first faces that people see when they come to church, ushers communicate a sense of welcome and hospitality. Their assistance with the collection of the faithful’s offerings is a special participation in the Holy Mass. If you want to serve the Lord in this meaningful and pleasant ministry, please leave your name and number at the parish office or speak to one of our priests.

We are happy to report that, to date, 183 parishioners have pledged a total of $63,687 to the Annual Catholic Appeal, of which $55,305 have already been collected. We thank those who have donated and invite all to consider joining us to support our local Church. Donation envelopes are available at the church entrances for your convenience.
