SEPTEMBER 24, 2023

Starting today, children enrolled in our Religious Education Program will begin bringing their personal offering envelopes to church. We invite the children to step forward now and place your offering in the basket in front of the pulpit.

This Tuesday, September 26th, there’s a mandatory VIRTUS training for all ministers, group leaders, and volunteers, from 6:30PM to 9:00PM at the

Parish Institute. If you haven’t attended a session in the past seven years, please ensure that you attend. Kindly reserve your spot through the parish office.

Next Sunday, October 1st, our diocese’s Italian Apostolate will host a celebratory event in Astoria, honoring Saints Joachim and Anne, the grandparents of Jesus. Activities will begin with a street procession starting at the St. Francis of Assisi Church at 3PM, concluding with a solemn Mass at the Immaculate Conception Church at 4PM, celebrated by Bishop Nicholas DiMarzio. All attending grandparents will receive a special blessing. Refreshments will follow the Mass.

Come Monday, October 2nd, our English Choir will restart their weekly rehearsals at 7:30PM in the chapel. If you have a passion for singing and can carry a tune, please consider joining us this choir season. We’re open to all voice types: soprano, alto, tenor, and bass. No auditions required, and while the ability to read music is a plus, it’s not mandatory. We focus on harmony and learn together in a friendly environment. The main commitment is the Monday night rehearsals. Apart from regular weekend liturgies, we’re prepping for our annual Christmas Concert. You can catch our most recent Christmas Concert on YouTube; the link is in the bulletin. If you are interested, please drop your name at the parish office for Lucille.

We have an exciting event on Saturday, October 7th! Join us for the Diocesan Eucharistic Revival, taking place from 8AM to 3PM at Maimonides Park in Brooklyn. To make your journey easier, we’ve arranged for a bus that will leave from the church at 7:30AM. This is a special occasion where you can join all our priests, fellow parishioners, and thousands of devout Catholics in a mini-pilgrimage to celebrate and honor the Lord’s Sacred Presence in the Holy Eucharist. Reserve your complimentary seats on the bus through the parish office, and don’t forget to bring along a packed lunch for the day!

Attention teenagers: Our Youth Nights take place every Friday from 7:00PM to 8:30PM at the Institute. You are invited. A mix of faith, fun, and fellowship awaits!
