On this Catechetical Sunday, we honor our catechists, guided by Ms. Nelly Gutierrez, who lovingly form our children in faith. We thank them for their dedication and pray that their ministry continues to inspire.
We joyfully welcome back a cherished tradition for our Religious Formation children. Each week they will bring their own offering envelopes—a sacrifice from their allowance, a sign of their love for the Lord and their active share in the Church’s mission.
On behalf of Msgr. Pham, our pastor, we are delighted to share wonderful news with our parish family: Bishop Brennan has assigned us a new parochial vicar! Next weekend, we will joyfully welcome Father Vito Jumao-as, a 53-year-old priest of Filipino heritage, fluent in English, Spanish, and Tagalog, with rich experience in multi-cultural and Hispanic ministry. He most recently served at St. Fidelis in College Point. Father Vito will assist Msgr. Pham and join Father Joseph Tran in shepherding our parish. Please be sure to greet him warmly and extend the hospitality of our community.
To date, 141 parishioners have pledged nearly $62,000 to this year’s Appeal, of which $56,000 has already been received. We are deeply grateful! If you have not yet participated, please prayerfully consider making a pledge as a sign of your love and support for the Church’s mission. Appeal envelopes are available at the church entrances.
Adults who still need Baptism, First Communion, or Confirmation are invited to register with Deacon Jacob Rodriguez by the end of September for an exiting preparation program designed just for you.
On Saturday, October 25, join Bishop Brennan and our priests for the Diocesan Marian Pilgrimage to the National Basilica in Washington, D.C. Participants will have the opportunity to tour the 40 magnificent chapels dedicated to the Blessed Mother by ethnic communities, take part in a solemn procession, enjoy a concert of sacred music by the Diocesan Orchestra, celebrate confessions to obtain a Jubilee Year Indulgence, and attend a Solemn Pontifical Mass. The cost is $60, including breakfast. Only ten bus seats remain—reserve soon!
