OCTOBER 1, 2023

We thank the children in our Religious Education Program who are present are present at mass for leading by your example of generosity with your donations.

This Monday, October 2nd, our English Choir will restart their weekly rehearsals at 7:30PM in the chapel. If you have a passion for singing and can carry a tune, please consider joining us this choir season. We’re open to all voice types: soprano, alto, tenor, and bass. No auditions required, and while the ability to read music is a plus, it’s not mandatory. We focus on harmony and learn together in a friendly environment. The main commitment is the Monday night rehearsals. Apart from regular weekend liturgies, we’re prepping for our annual Christmas Concert. You can catch our most recent Christmas Concert on YouTube; the link is in the bulletin. If you are interested, please drop your name at the parish office for Lucille.

This Wednesday, October 4th is the Feast of St. Francis of Assisi. There will be a traditional Blessing of the Animals at Mary’s Garden between the Rectory and the School building at 4pm.  Please bring your pets to be blessed by our priests.

This coming Friday, October 6th, marks the First Friday of the month. After the 8AM Mass, we’ll expose the Blessed Sacrament for silent adoration, continuing until the 12 Noon Mass. Later in the evening, join us for a sung Holy Hour of Adoration at 6:30PM, followed by a Holy Mass at 7:30PM, both in Spanish.

We have an exciting event on Saturday, October 7th! Join us for the Diocesan Eucharistic Revival, taking place from 8AM to 3PM at Maimonides Park in Brooklyn. To make your journey easier, we’ve arranged for a bus that will leave from the church at 7:30AM. This is a special occasion where you can join all our priests, fellow parishioners, and thousands of devout Catholics in a mini-pilgrimage to celebrate and honor the Lord’s Presence in the Holy Eucharist. Highlights of the day include a Solemn Mass and Procession of the Holy Eucharist in the stadium, home of the Brooklyn Cyclones, together with Concerts of Sacred Music and Presentations by renowned Speakers. Reserve your complimentary seats on the bus, on a first come, first serve basis, through the parish office.  And don’t forget to bring along a packed lunch for the day!

Attention teenagers: Our Youth Nights take place every Friday from 7:00PM to 8:30PM at the Institute. You are invited. A mix of faith, fun, and fellowship awaits!
