We thank the youngsters from our Religious Education Program for your generous and thoughtful offering.
Today, after this Mass, volunteers will be selling raffle tickets to fund the upcoming celebration on the Feast of Our Lady of Altagracia, patroness of the Dominican Republic. Your support is a gesture of solidarity with our Dominican brothers and sisters. The raffle drawing will occur next Sunday during the Food Sale at the Institute starting at 11AM.
Also today, after this Mass, members of our Youth Group will hand out flyers inviting you to join their Thanksgiving Charity Project. Next weekend, the Youth Group is collecting quality canned food to support Hour Children, a charity working with incarcerated and formerly incarcerated women and their children in need.
On Saturday, November 18, we will celebrate the Feast of St. Diego de Alcalá, also known as St. Didacus, a lay Franciscan brother known for his sanctity and miraculous healing gifts. Festivities begin with a Solemn Street Procession at 5:30PM from Mary’s Garden, leading up to a Solemn Mass at 6:30PM in the church. Afterwards, everyone is invited to continue the celebration in the Gym.
Next Sunday, November 19, our parish will host Project Andrew, an event for high school-aged young men and older to learn about the priesthood. The evening includes prayer, dinner, and conversation with Bishop Robert Brennan and Father Chris Bethge – the Diocesan Vocation Director. We encourage interested youth to speak with our priests and we ask the entire parish to pray for discerning vocations within your families.
In anticipation of the Christmas season, we invite parishioners to memorialize a Christmas wreath. These wreaths will adorn our parish property and honor your loved ones, living or deceased, throughout the season until the Epiphany. Wreaths are $35 each and can be reserved through the form in the bulletin, or by contacting the parish office.
On December 9th, the Rosary Society will hold their 2nd Annual Christmas Fundraiser in the Institute. For $45 per person, enjoy a delicious lunch with wine and a chance to win fabulous baskets. Please reserve your limited tickets in the parish office.
