Next weekend, we will begin our 2025 Annual Catholic Appeal by showing a video from our diocesan bishop, Bishop Robert Brennan. This video will feature the real faces of our diocesan Church—those who will benefit from your generous contribution. By contributing toward our parish goal of $67,831, you will help fund essential programs and ministries across the diocese while also supporting our own parish mission, bringing God’s mercy to all who long for Him.
This Wednesday, March 5th, is Ash Wednesday, marking the beginning of Lent, the penitential season leading to Easter. We will be distributing ashes at the 8:00 AM Mass, the 12:00 Noon Mass, the 5:00 PM Liturgy of the Word, and the 7:30 PM bilingual Mass. All services will take place in the main church. Please remember that Ash Wednesday is a universal day of fasting and abstinence.
This Friday, March 7th, the First Friday of the month, our parish is honored to host a special Diocesan Pilgrimage in observance of the Jubilee Year. Parishioners from Brooklyn and Queens will visit our church throughout the day to obtain a special Indulgence. In light of this occasion, there will be special liturgies and devotions in addition to the usual First Friday schedule, including Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament, the Stations of the Cross, the recitation of the Holy Rosary, the Divine Mercy Chaplet, along with Confessions at designated times. The Jubilee Pilgrimage Day will conclude with an evening Holy Hour at 6:30PM, followed by a bilingual Mass at 7:30PM. All services will be held in the main church. Please mark your calendar and join us in welcoming our visitors with the hospitality of our parish.
Also, starting this Friday, the Stations of the Cross will be held in English following the 12:00 Noon Mass during Lent each Friday in the chapel. Booklets will be provided for all who participate.
Finally, we would like to remind you that Daylight Savings Time will begin at 2am next Sunday, March 9th. Please remember to turn the clock ahead one hour.
