JUNE 2, 2024

As our religious education classes conclude, we encourage the children of our parish to continue using their offering envelopes each week. Throughout the summer, children can place their envelopes directly into the collection basket during Mass. This practice fosters a healthy habit of stewardship and motivates active commitment. We hope families will continue to support this meaningful initiative.

We are excited to announce the ongoing growth in contributions to the Annual Catholic Appeal. This week, 112 parishioners have pledged a total of $47,444, bringing us closer to our goal of $67,815. We invite all families to consider contributing to this vital cause. Envelopes are available at the church entrances.

We joyfully announce that Transitional Deacon Randy Nguyen was just ordained as a new priest of our Diocese. Father Randy, a native of our parish, will celebrate his First Mass of Thanksgiving tomorrow/today, June 2, at 3 PM. Please join us for this joyous event, congratulate Father Randy, and receive his First Blessing. Pope Francis has granted a Plenary Indulgence to all attendees.

Additionally, this weekend marks Father Ed Brady’s 65th anniversary as a priest. To celebrate this milestone, Father Ed will celebrate/has celebrated a Mass of Thanksgiving at 9:30 AM tomorrow/today. Please join him in giving thanks and praise to God. We rejoice with Father Ed and wish him many more years of good health and happiness among us.

June is the month dedicated to the Sacred Heart of Jesus. We will celebrate the Feast of the Sacred Heart of Jesus this Friday, June 7, the First Friday of the month. There will be Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament after the 8 AM Mass for silent adoration until the 12 PM Mass. In the evening, a Holy Hour of Adoration will be held at 6:30 PM, followed by a Solemn Bilingual Mass at 7:30 PM, presided over by Bishop Paul Sanchez, who will lead a special Consecration to the Sacred Heart. All are invited to the light reception after Mass.

Families, please enroll your children in our parish’s religious instruction program for Sacraments and faith growth. Registration is open until August 31 for new and returning students.

In 2025, our Youth Group will go on a pilgrimage to Rome for the Youth Jubilee with Pope Francis, accompanied by Bishop Robert Brennan. The pilgrimage is open to all parish youth aged sixteen and above. Details will be shared soon. Please support their upcoming fundraising activities.

This weekend, representatives from the Good Shepherds of Bethlehem will be at our church, offering olive wood carvings made by Catholic families in the Holy Land. By purchasing a gift, you support our Catholic brothers and sisters in Bethlehem during this difficult time.
