JULY 23, 2023

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to all parishioners, particularly the leaders of groups and ministries, for contributing to the resounding success of our parish’s patronal feast last Sunday. Your unwavering collaboration and dedication have brought forth abundant spiritual grace to our parish, fostering unity among our diverse communities, and leaving a lasting impression on our esteemed guests. May Our Lady of Mount Carmel shower you with her abundant blessings.

We would like to express our appreciation to the 145 parishioners who participated in this year’s Annual Catholic Appeal. For those who haven’t contributed yet, we earnestly invite you to consider joining us in this diocesan effort, which sustains our local Church and directly benefits our own parish. Donation envelopes are still available at the church doors.

On Monday, July 24, at 7:30 PM, Bishop Raymond Chappetto will lead a special Healing Mass at Saint Joseph’s Church in Astoria. The occasion marks the blessing of a new healing shrine dedicated to Saint Sharbel, Saint Peregrine, and Blessed Carlo Acutis in that church. Everyone is warmly invited to attend this significant event.

On Saturday, July 29, the Hispanic community of our parish will joyously celebrate the Feast of Saint James the Apostle, who is held in high esteem, particularly in Santiago de Compostela, Spain, and among the Hispanic community. The festivities will commence with a solemn procession in front of the church at 5:30PM, followed by a Solemn Mass at 6:30PM in Spanish. Following the Mass, everyone is warmly invited to gather in the parish institute for refreshments.

For further announcements and events within our parish, we encourage you to take home a weekly bulletin or read here on our website.
