We earnestly invite you to consider joining 137 of your fellow parishioners who have already donated to the Annual Catholic Appeal, a diocesan effort that sustains our local Church’s mission and provides benefits to our own parish. If you have not done so, please take home an envelope at the church doors to support this worthy cause.
Registration for Religious Education classes, starting in September, is now open. It is crucial for all children to enroll in the program so that they may receive the Sacraments. Visit the parish office for applications and re-registration forms.
In observance of Independence Day, this Tuesday, the 4th of July, there will be a single Mass held in the main church at 9 AM. After the Rosary following Mass, both the church and the parish office will be closed for the day.
This Friday, July 7th, is the First Friday of the month. There will be Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament after the 8AM Mass for silent adoration until the 12PM Noon Mass. That same evening, there will be a sung Holy Hour of Adoration at 6:30PM, followed by a Holy Mass at 7:30PM, both in Spanish.
Next Sunday, July 9th, Bishop Robert Brennan will ordain our Seminarian Randy Nguyen and two others to the Transitional Diaconate. This significant milestone brings them closer to their Priesthood ordination next year. The entire parish shares in the joy of this occasion as Deacon Randy is a cherished member of our community who grew up within our parish. Join us at the 3PM Solemn Mass of Thanksgiving in our church, at which Deacon Randy will preach the homily for the first time.
Save the date: Two Sundays from now, on July 16, we will celebrate our parish patronal feast, the Feast of Our Lady of Mount Carmel. Join us for special events leading up to the Traditional Street Procession of Our Lady of Mount Carmel and a Solemn Mass during which over one hundred parishioners will be consecrated to Our Lady. Everyone is also invited to an evening of festivities, featuring international music, dances, and food in the parish institute. This year, we are honored to have Bishop Robert Brennan and Archbishop Christophe Pierre, the Apostolic Nuncio to the United States, as our distinguished guests.
