JANUARY 26, 2025

On January 26th, our Vietnamese community joyfully celebrated the Lunar New Year with a Solemn Mass of Peace at 3 PM. The Mass was celebrated in both English and Vietnamese, and we were honored to welcome Bishop Paul Sanchez, our former pastor, and Bishop Ray Chappetto, a native son of our parish, for this special occasion. We celebrated the Year of the Snake, a symbol of mystery, intelligence, patience, and creativity. Following the Mass, a festive reception took place in the parish hall, featuring a vibrant lion dance, music, entertainment, traditional Vietnamese food and New Year lucky draws.

We are delighted to invite you to the Open House at St. Joseph Catholic Academy, proudly affiliated with our parish, running this week from January 27th to January 31st. The school offers exceptional programs for children from 3K through 8th grade. Come discover why a Catholic education could be the perfect fit for your family! Financial aid is available to make this opportunity accessible. Special thanks to Mrs. Lucy Aliamo, the Principal, for her presence at the 11 AM and 12:30 PM Masses to share more details and answer any questions.

On Sunday, February 2nd, on the Feast of the Presentation of the Lord, a special Blessing of Candles will take place before Mass. All are encouraged to bring candles to Mass that day to be blessed for personal or family use. Upon arrival, you may place your candles on the steps of the sanctuary.

Our Youth Group is hosting a Valentine’s Dinner Dance on Friday, February 14th, with all proceeds supporting their Jubilee Year Trip to Rome next summer with Bishop Brennan. Tickets will be available starting Wednesday in the parish office and after all Masses next weekend. Please save the date and plan to be with us for this exciting event.

For details on these and other upcoming events, please check the bulletin or you may read it right here on our website.
