We would like to sincerely thank all the parishioners who generously supported the Lunar New Year Raffles sponsored by our Vietnamese Community last week. Thanks to your enthusiastic participation and generosity, we raised over ten thousand dollars through the raffles to help support the renovation of our beloved chapel. The winning numbers have been published online and in this week’s bulletin. Congratulations to all the winners, and heartfelt thanks to everyone who took part. May God richly bless you throughout this new year!
This Wednesday, February 18, is Ash Wednesday, marking the beginning of Lent, the penitential season leading to Easter. We will be distributing ashes at the 8:00 AM Mass, the 12:00 Noon Mass, the 5:00 PM Liturgy of the Word, the 7:30 PM bilingual Mass, and the 9 PM Mass in Vietnamese. All services will take place in the main church.
Ashes will also be distributed during a special Prayer Service at 3:00 PM at the 114th Police Precinct. Please remember that Ash Wednesday is a universal day of fasting and abstinence. More details on Lenten observances are found in this week’s bulletin.
Also, starting this Friday, the Stations of the Cross will be held in English following the 12:00 Noon Mass each Friday during Lent, and again in Spanish at 7 PM. Come to trace the final footsteps of Christ and experience the depth of his love for you.
This Monday, February 16, is Presidents’ Day, a federal holiday. There will be only ONE Mass at 9 AM in the main church. After Mass and the Rosary recitation, the church and parish office will be closed for the rest of the day.
