We are pleased to announce that scholarship applications are now available for parents interested in a Catholic education for their children, from pre-K through 8th grade. Our parish is aligned with St. Joseph Catholic Academy, which is an outstanding school in our area. Please contact the parish office for more information.
Next Sunday February 19, the world-renowned Concert Choir of Prague from the Czech Republic will make a visit to our parish. There will be a concert of sacred music immediately following the 10:30AM Czech Mass in the chapel. Admission is free, and all parishioners are welcome! Please spread the word and invite your friends to this wonderful Concert.
Also, on the same Sunday, February 19, there will be a Food Sale in the Institute right after the 12:30pm Spanish Mass, sponsored by the Divine Mercy Committee to support the celebration of the upcoming Solemnity of the Divine Mercy in our parish. The event will feature a fantastic menu of hot food, Latino delicacies and drinks. All parishioners are invited to stop by.
Bishop Robert Brennan has asked that all churches of Brooklyn and Queens take up a special collection to assist the suffering people of Turkey and Syria in the aftermath of the recent earthquake, which has claimed the lives of more than 23,000 people. At our parish, there will be a second collection next weekend for this cause. Your generosity will be a powerful sign of solidarity with the victims and their families.
For detailed information on these events and other parish information, please take home a copy of our weekly bulletin or read here on our website.
