This week, our seminarians Peter, Francis, and Peter conclude their summer assignment and
return to the seminary. We are deeply grateful for the faith, joy, and generous spirit they have
shared with our parish family. They have become part of our community, and we will miss
them. Please keep them close in your prayers as they continue their journey toward the
priesthood.
Calling all young people ages 13–19! This Friday, August 14, our Parish Youth Group will
visit the Shrine of St. Frances Xavier Cabrini in Manhattan for an afternoon of faith,
friendship, and fun. Meet in front of the rectory at 1:30 PM and return by 7:00 PM. The
only cost is round-trip train fare. Those under 18 need a signed parental permission slip.

Let’s help our children start the new school year with joy! On Tuesday, August 18, from 2:00
to 5:00 PM, our Latinx Community Group will host a Back-to-School Giveaway for all children
in the neighborhood in front of the Institute. School supplies will be distributed while supplies
last.
And the back-to-school celebration continues! On Friday, August 21, from 10:30 AM to 1:30
PM, Catholic Charities will host its annual Kids Fun Day in our church parking lot—a morning of
fun and activities for children and families.
Faith is one of the greatest gifts we can give—and it is never too early or too late to grow in it.
Religious Education registration is open through September 10. If your child is preparing for
the Sacraments, now is the time to enroll and help them grow closer to Christ.
For families seeking a strong Catholic education, St. Joseph Catholic Academy in our own
neighborhood welcomes students from 3-K through Grade 8, with financial assistance
available.
And for adults 18 and older who have not yet received Baptism, Holy Communion, or
Confirmation, we warmly invite you to join our Adult Faith Formation program. Please contact
Deacon Jacob Rodriguez to enroll and take this important step in your journey of faith.
