It brings us immense happiness to share that, as of now, 62 donors have pledged over $27,000, with more than $19,000 already received. Your generosity supports vital ministries across the diocese and strengthens our parish mission—helping the good works of the Church to flourish. This year, we are prayerfully striving for 100% participation in our parish, and we hope to count on your enthusiasm and goodwill. Appeal envelopes are available at all church entrances. Remember: no gift is too small in the eyes of the Lord.
Our pastor, Msgr. Cuong Pham, is currently in Rome to participate in the Funeral of Pope Francis. He carries with him the heartfelt condolences and prayers of our parish community to the Church leaders gathered in the Eternal City. As the universal Church observes nine days of official mourning, Msgr. Pham invites all of us to unite in prayer for the Cardinal electors, who will soon undertake the sacred responsibility of choosing the next Pope. May they be enlightened by the Holy Spirit and strengthened by the shared prayers of the faithful around the world.
This Friday, May 2nd, is the First Friday of the month. Following the 8 AM Mass, the Blessed Sacrament will be exposed for silent adoration until the 12 Noon Mass. In the evening, join us for a sung Holy Hour of Adoration at 6:30 PM, followed by Holy Mass at 7:30 PM, both in Spanish.
This Saturday, May 3rd, at 11:00 AM, Bishop Ray Chappetto will celebrate a Solemn Mass at our parish and confer the Sacrament of Confirmation upon our young people. All are warmly invited to attend this special celebration and to join us in prayer for the candidates, their sponsors, and their families as they take this important step in their journey of faith.
Next Sunday, May 4th, the Committee of St. James the Apostle invites everyone to a delicious Mexican food sale beginning at 10:30 AM in the gym. All proceeds will benefit the celebration of the Feast of St. James this July. We hope you’ll stop by to support this special event.
Please note that all weekday Masses will continue to be celebrated in the main church until further notice. This allows everyone to enjoy the beauty of our sanctuary during this special season.
