During this most sacred time of the year, we invite you to make the most of our parish’s liturgies. The complete schedule for Holy Week is available in the bulletin, on our Facebook page and parish website. Please post it in a visible place in your home.
The Memorial Palm Crosses in the front of our church will be displayed for two weeks, until the Monday after Divine Mercy Sunday. After that, you may take your Crosses home.
This Monday, April 3, is Reconciliation Monday. Confessions will be heard in the chapel from 1:00PM to 3:00PM and again from 6:00PM to 8:00PM. Please plan to come for confessions only during these specific times as it will be very difficult for our priests to hear confessions at other times during the busy Holy Triduum.
On Holy Thursday, you are invited to the Bilingual Mass of the Lord’s Supper at 7:30PM, commemorating the Lord’s institution of the Eucharist and the Priesthood. It is a particularly significant day for all priests and liturgical ministers. This year, 12 youths from our Youth Group will be chosen to represent the 12 Apostles during the Washing of the Feet. There will be a Solemn Eucharistic Procession at the end of Mass.
On Good Friday, the Passion of the Lord will be celebrated throughout the day in all five languages of our parish, during which there will be a Special Collection to support the Holy Sites in the Holy Land. The outdoor dramatic Stations of the Cross will be bilingual for the first time.
On Holy Saturday, you are invited to a Special Prayer Service at 12 noon, commemorating the death of Our Lord. You may bring your Easter food with you to be blessed at that time. In the evening, all are invited to attend the Solemn Easter Vigil at 7:30PM, the most beautiful Mass and Mother of all liturgies in the Church, with candlelight procession and moving sacred music by our parish choir.
The bulletin this week contains an update on the progress of the Annual Catholic Appeal in our parish. If we exceed our parish goal of $67,815, the extra money will be given back to our parish. As meeting space is a real need at this time, we are planning to construct a new Atrium for your use, which will be a glass-covered room on the side of the church facing the Rectory building. We sincerely hope that you will help us exceed the goal in order to make this project come true. Commitment forms will soon be available. No donation is ever too small to make a big difference before God.
For detailed information on these events and other parish information, please take home a copy of our weekly bulletin or read here on our website.
