Announcement for All Souls Day

The Church grants a Plenary Indulgence to any faithful who visits the cemetery to pray for the holy souls on All Souls Day, and on the following 8 days of November. On any other day of this month, a Partial Indulgence may be gained by the faithful doing the same. These Indulgences may be transferred to the souls of your loved ones, or to the souls who are most in need of God’s mercy in Purgatory.

ONLY FOR 8AM MASS: Today, you are cordially invited to join our priests in making a visit to our Parish Cemetery, located on 21st Street and 26th Avenue, opposite the New York Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation. You can gather in the church parking lot at 10:00am and walk together there, or you can go there directly and join us in prayer at 10:15am. We will return to the church for the 12 Noon Mass.

If you have not done so, please enroll your deceased loved ones to be included in our prayer during the Novena of Masses for Holy Souls, which begins today and will continue for 9 days, during which your loved ones will be prayed for in a special way during the Eucharistic Prayer at Mass. Envelopes are available at the church entrances.

Also, beginning today, you are cordially invited to post the names of your deceased loved ones on the Memorial Cross located outside of the Sacred Heart vestibule. They will be remembered throughout this whole month of All Souls.

Tomorrow, November 3rd, will be the First Friday of the month. After the 8am Mass, we will expose the Blessed Sacrament for silent adoration, continuing until the 12 Noon Mass. Later in the evening, join us for a sung Holy Hour of Adoration at 6:30PM, followed by a Holy Mass at 7:30PM, both in Spanish.

We have an exciting event this Saturday, November 4th. Join the Vocation Committee for a special All-Saints Costume Event open to all children and their parents. We will start with Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament and a Reflection on Sainthood by Msgr. Pham at 1pm in the chapel, followed by an All-Saints Costume Party with fun games, hot food and delicious treats in the Institute. Dress as your favorite Saint and share their story for a chance to win exciting prizes!

Thank you and have a blessed All Souls Day!
