Our Lady of Mount Carmel traveled to THE BASILICA OF THE NATIONAL SHRINE OF THE IMMACULATE CONCEPTION in Washington, D.C. on Saturday, October 25, 2014. A group of our friends from our neighbor parish, St. Francis of Assisi joined us as we make this bi-annual spiritual journey in tribute to our Blessed Mother. We prayed for the needs of our diocese and our parish family but this year, we prayed especially for those Christians being persecuted in the Middle East. We were accompanied by OLMC Pastor, Msgr. Sean G. Ogle, V.F., and Parochial Vicars, Father Joe Pham and Father Peter Nguyen. Here is the group picture as we gathered around Bishop Nicholas DiMarzio. Pictures courtesy of Nina Carullo.
