Young Adults and the Catholic Fellowship of NYC
Our mission is to bring young adults closer to God and Church as well as uniting young adults to promote further good. We adhere to the call of Jesus Christ in these modern times by seeking to establish camaraderie, meeting the needs of the communities around us, and strengthening our faith. We support activiites at Mount Carmel, including the monthly Young Adult Mass, third Sundays at 5 PM.

Rosary Society: for women of any age. Meets First Sunday of every month except summer after 10 AM Mass in the Mount Carmel Institute. Lourdes Room. Moderator: Father Michael Mc Hugh.
Carmel Diamond Seniors: for older men and women. Meet for Bingo, coffee, and other activities, every Thursday from 1:30 to 4 PM in the Mount Carmel Institute., Guadalupe Room, lower level. Moderator: Fr. Joe Pham.
Young Adults: Young Adult Mass is Third Sunday from memorial Day through Labor Day inclusive at 5:00 PM. Moderator: Msgr. Ogle
Jornada (Spanish Youth): meets every Friday night at 7:00 PM in the Mount Carmel Institute., Guadalupe Room. Moderator: Msgr. Ogle.
English Choir: meets every Monday night at 7:30 PM in the lower church. Director: Lucille Mascia.
Italian Society: meets Sundays after 9:00 AM Italian Mass in the Mount Carmel Institute., Lourdes Room.
Czech-Slovak Apostolate: meets Sundays after 10:30 AM Czech-Slovak Mass in the Mount Carmel Institute.

The English Choir meets every Monday from 7:30 to 9:00PM in the Lower Church. if you are interested in joining the choir, please call the Rectory.

Mass is celebrated in five langauges every Sunday at Mount Carmel.
Family Mass is normally the second Sunday each month at 11:15 AM (except June, July and August).
Young Adult Mass is third Sunday each month at 5:00 PM. (7:00 PM from Memorial Day to Labor Day inclusive).
Baptisms are normally at 2:00 PM on Sundays: second Sunday of each month in English, and fourth Sunday each month in Spanish. Pre-regsitration is required. Private baptisms are normally not celebrated by the parish clergy.
Confessions are heard every Saturday from 3:30 PM to 4:30 in the lower church, or by appointment.
Marriage arrangements should be made at least six months in advance with a priest or deacon. At least one of the parties must be a parishioner of OLMC.
Quinceaneras ("Sweet Fifteens"): arrangements should be made six months in advance with a staff member. The family must be parishioners of OLMC, and the girl must have made her confirmation.
